We aim to introduce you to the exiting, healthy, fun world of Salsa dancing.
Just a few basic moves will get you started and addicted! Kasia & Thanassi will
teach you to dance with good technique, funky moves and oodles of style!
Kasia has been dancing most of her life. She started dancing Ballroom and Latin at the age 13. With professional
training and natural talent Kasia was soon at competition level. She has a lot of great memories from performances
and competitions in Poland and Europe.
In 2002 Kasia came to Preston as an exchange student and decide
to try a new style of dancing, something more social and freestyle. Due to her dance background and love of dance
Kasia is now one of the best Salsa dancers and instructors in the UK.
Kasia has taken part in Salsa competitions including the UKA Championships at Blackpool
Winter Gardens, where she won first place in 2005. In the same year Kasia represented the UK at the World
Championships held in Aruba.
Kasia is now dedicated to teaching and performing and with her partner Thanassi has
created one of the best Salsa classes in the North.
Thanassi was introduced to Salsa by his partner Kasia in 2004. Later on in the year he
decided he was up for a challenge and Salsa gave him the opportunity. Thanassi took part in the UK Salsa Championships
2005 (Silver Medalists) and won 1st place in the competition. In 2005 Thanassi formed 'SizzlingSalsa' with
his partner Kasia and assisted her in classes at 'The Strand' and 'Fives'. He drew inspiration from the Manchester
Mambo scene and after studying dance with Mushi Noor, one of the best, sought after instructors in Europe, now runs classes for all levels from
beginners through to advanced.
Salsology Co. In 2007 Kasia & Thanassi joined Salsology Co,
a Manchester-based salsa dance company directed and choreographed by Emma Moore and Mushi Noor. The company is newly
formed and draws inspiration from the explosive energy and elegance of the New York mambo scene in particular, and also from the diverse dance backgrounds of its directors and company
